1) I’m not going to be a victim of a crime. I’m going to kill anyone that threatens me—or my family or another American in front of me—with deadly force. I also have a military background so my reaction may not make sense to you.
2) I would have felt terrible if that had happened, but that’s the chance I took. If everyone in America stood up to violent crime and fought back the crime rate would drop dramatically. Criminals are cowards.

I see it as a general rule that it’s a bad idea to argue or fight with someone with a gun when you are unarmed and unprepared, afterall, you could easily have been seriously injured or killed.
